Regulatory Changes India Sea Cargo Manifest and Transshipment Regulations effective 1st August 2019 - Update
This is in continuation to our earlier advisory dated 05th Jul, 2019 on the matter of Sea Cargo
Manifest and Transshipment Regulations (SCMT) which will be in effect from 1st August
2019, we would like to emphasize on the key highlights of the new regulation, which makes it
compulsory for Shipping lines, exporters and importers to adhere to the defined timelines for
the Cargo Manifestation for Imports arriving in India and for Exports out of India and the
transshipment via Indian Ports.

Implementation of Advance Cargo Manifest for Import Shipment to Bangladesh
According to the order from Bangladesh’s National Board of Revenue, all shipments w.e.f. 1 July 2019

SAUDI ARABIA: FORWARDER LICENSE FOR IMPORT & EXPORT
The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has given directives for carriers to obtain proof of freight forwarder’s license issued by the Public Transport Authority (PTA). The Regulation of Shipping Agent issued under the Resolution of Mawani Board of Directors No. (6/C1/D1) dated 10/3/1440H (18 November 2018) which came into effect 17 December 2018.
